Since 1991, the annual Tuna Challenge, hosted by the Silver Gate Yacht Club and founded by Kona Kai Anglers, has raised over $1.5 million to make wishes come true. The event is now the largest tuna fishing competition in the continental United States, and the largest fundraiser of the year for Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, raising $350,000 in 2007!
