Ten-year-old Jace loves to play baseball, playing the newest Spider-Man game on his PlayStation, and bike with friends. But most of all, he loves dogs. When Jace’s family dog passed away the year before, it left a doggie-shaped hole in his heart. From the moment he first met with his wish granters, Jace immediately knew what he wanted: a French Bulldog puppy. Jace excitedly said he wishes “for a puppy, to have a friend that will love me back as much as I love her. Something that is more than just a day.”

While his wish team was working hard, Jace was working just as much alongside them. Sending reference photos, picking out the perfect bed and toys, and researching anything and everything there is to know about French Bulldogs. He even asked his mom for a new bed that is lower to the ground for his puppy, as he read that frenchies can’t jump. Jace could hardly contain his excitement in the months leading up to his wish. He told everyone he met that he wants a French Bulldog puppy.

The day his puppy arrived was an incredibly exciting and joy-filled day for Jace and his family. As he toured the Wishing Place and rounded the corner into the comfort café, his new best friend, Luna, was there waiting for him. Luna knew she was his and walked over to Jace – tail wagging the entire way. He picked her up, gave her a gentle hug, and never wanted to let go. With the biggest smile on his face, Jace turned to his mom and said, “I love her!”
