Charlton boy receives drum set from Make-A-Wish Foundation
Cameron Ross of Charlton was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma in February 2021, and spent much of last year undergoing treatment. His parents came to realize music had a way of putting Cameron’s mind at ease, and that's how the Make-a-Wish Foundation found a way to help.

Make-A-Wish grants Cameron Ross, 3-year-old with Burkitt lymphoma, a new drum set
Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island granted three-year-old Cameron Ross’s wish true on Aug. 1 when he was presented with a new drum set at a special reveal party, according to a press release from the foundation. Ross has Burkitt lymphoma, a lymphatic cancer that causes the body to make abnormal B lymphocytes.

Make-A-Wish event honors girl from Woonsocket
Kaylee Chambers, a 15-year-old from Woonsocket, sang her heart out at the 10th annual Evening of Wishes last night. The WaterFire Arts Center hosted the event organized by Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, granting wishes for children with life-threatening conditions.
