Partnership Launches in Advance of World Wish Day
Monroe Township, NJ – For the past four decades, Make-A-Wish has granted over 550,000 wishes across the United States and around the world. April 29th marks the global anniversary of the wish that inspired the founding of the organization, known as World Wish Day. In honor of World Wish Day, 31 Qdoba Mexican Eats® locations in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Florida are partnering with Make-A-Wish to raise vital funds and help make future wishes come true for local children battling critical illnesses. 12 participating locations are based in New Jersey.
In honor of World Wish Day – and World Wish Month - the campaign launched with a formal kickoff on April 5th and will run until June 30th. Customers will be encouraged to make a suggested $1, $3 or $5 donation at the register, which will directly benefit their local Make-A-Wish chapter. Five Make-A-Wish chapters are represented by the select Qdoba locations – Make-A-Wish New Jersey, Make-A-Wish Metro & Western New York, Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania, Make-A-Wish South Florida, and Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley. Customers who donate $5 or more will be given the opportunity to place their name on a Make-A-Wish star featured at their Qdoba location, as well.
Additionally, there will be special events taking place on three select dates all 31 participating Qdoba locations, on April 29th, May 20th and June 24th, when 25% of ALL proceeds will be donated to each location’s local Make-A-Wish chapter. Stay tuned for more information!
