On Tuesday, April 13, during a private ceremony, Make-A-Wish New Jersey posthumously honored the wish of 2 ½ year-old Penelope (Penny), who recently passed away after her courageous battle with neuroblastoma.

Eli Manning poked his head out of the castle at the Make-A-Wish foundation in Monroe Township on Tuesday afternoon and then hid behind a pillar, waiting for his cue. The former Giants quarterback was trying not to be spotted too soon.

Eleven-year-old Victor Flores wore his orange “I am a Warrior” T-shirt proudly as he headed to Jersey Mike’s Subs for an early lunch with his family and best friend. Little did he know on the morning of March 30 that his wish was about to come true of a shopping spree of new electronics – especially the coveted, difficult-to-get Xbox Series X.

When Make-A-Wish asked Victor, who is battling cancer, the life-changing question, "If you could have one wish, what would it be?" the fifth grader wished for a shopping spree to buy all sorts of things he’s long-desired.
